Welcome back to school! To help you with transiting back to school, here is a list of items we think are essential for school. Happy reading!
1. Planner

This would probably be one of the most important things you would need as a student to keep your busy NIE student life organised! It is crucial to keep track of all the details — from when you’re meeting your friends for lunch to when you’re supposed to submit your assignments. Your planner could come in the form of a physical one from stores like Muji and Typo, or you could choose to have an online organiser using applications like Notion!
2. Tablet

Personally, I think that tablets are very worthy investments, especially for students! With a tablet, you would be able to keep all your documents in one place. They are also convenient for annotations, so if you’re a Literature student, you would find it much easier annotating poems or short stories using a tablet instead! For the Mathematics and Science subjects, drawing diagrams would be so much more of a breeze!
3. Blue Light Glasses

As a student, you would know that a great amount of our lives revolve around staring at a screen for many hours every day. In order to reduce blue light exposure, consider purchasing a pair of such glasses for protection against blue light! The good habit of wearing blue light glasses also potentially reduces eye strain and improves your quality of sleep!
4. Bento Box

Want to do your part in saving the environment, but not sure how? Start by bringing your own bento boxes should you choose the takeaway option! By making the smallest changes in our everyday lives, we can help create a society that is moving towards reducing unnecessary waste!

5. Stationery

Although most of us use our electronic devices for almost all of our classes, it is important to have a notebook as well as a few pens and highlighters in your bag! Now, if you’re having a bad day and all your devices decide to crash at the same time, you have stationery as a back-up!
